80 Days Until the Hobbit

September 24, 2012

Yes. I am a BIG fan. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey premiers on December 14, 2012. I have been following the news on this movie for years! I found a website with a Countdown Clock, which includes the days/hours/minutes/seconds until the premier.

According to the news I have heard, this is the first of a three-part movie about the book, The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. The director of the movie is Peter Jackson. He did an excellent job with the award-winning Lord of the Rings trilogy.

If you are a big fan like me, you may want to check here for all the latest information on the movies and production videos by Peter Jackson.

If you are a potential fan, let me just say that "Hobbits" are worth your time. They are one of the most interesting sets of characters I have ever come across in literature. They are small but full of so much heart…it is hard to describe. You will want to read about them and/or watch the movies to find out.

I highly enjoyed The Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy. Here is the trilogy in order: The Fellowship of the Ring, Two Towers, and Return of the King.

"Home is behind, the world ahead. There are many paths to tread...

"It’s dangerous business...going out your front door."

~J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
