2013 Creative Pay-It-Forward

I have seen this posted on Facebook several times. Now, I’m going to challenge YOU to do this yourself.

2013 Creative Pay-It-Forward - The first five people to respond to you will receive a gift sometime in the next calendar year, something hand-made by you! It could be baked goods, a hand-sewn ornament, a scarf crocheted with your very own hands, or anything -- a surprise! There will be no warning, and you just do it when the mood strikes. The catch - -the five people you gift with a surprise must pass it on!

You say you aren't crafty. Don't know what you could make? No problem. Access the Library for ideas: Cookies to Die For by Fiona Watt or Simple Crocheting: A Complete How to Crochet Workshop with 20 Projects by Erika Knight. Check out the DIY and Hobbies databases on our website also. You'll get so many ideas, you won't know where to start!

I believe 2013 can be a kinder, gentler year for everyone if we show a little more appreciation. Let someone out in traffic, return a shopping cart, hold back that word you wanted to say, and even help a little old lady cross the street. (Only if she wants to cross the street though!) Challenge yourself to try something new, and don't forget to pay it forward. YOU might be on the receiving end sometime yourself!
