Just moved to Jackson County, MO?  Changed addresses within the county lately?  Has ‘register to vote’ been on your to-do list for a while?  Your staff at Colbern Road Branch can help you mark ‘register to vote’ off your list!  But hurry!  To be qualified to vote in the August 3, 2010 Primary Election, you must be registered by July 7th.  To vote in the November 2, 2010 General Election, you must be registered by October 6th.

Did you know it’s been 90 years since women gained the right to vote in the United States? The 19th Amendment passed August 18, 1920, and the amendment was certified August 26, 1920. Women’s Equality Day is celebrated August 26th to mark this event.

The last day to register to vote in the November 2nd general election is October 6th. You can register to vote at any Mid-Continent Public Library branch, and the process takes only a few minutes.
