My family likes to take one week of our vacation every summer and go camping. We meet my brother-in-law and his family, and get several camp sites next to each other. We do our cooking, and we fish off my brother-in-law’s deck boat, just relaxing and visiting. We enjoy our time together very much.
Here at the Weston Branch, we have had a few people on vacation. One staff member journeyed to Colorado. While I don't think she did any rock climbing while she was there, she could have and this book would have been perfect: Best Climbs Denver and Boulder.
I spent a week in Chicago earlier this year, and fell in love with the city! While it wasn't my first visit, it was my first time to stay in the city with a Chicagoan, and see, do, and EAT so many things!
Half the battle of a trip is months and months before you go. Trip planning is an art, balancing all the activities your group wants to do with the amount of vacation time you have. This is especially true when you're planning a magical trip to the happiest place on Earth.
For fellow Disney aficionados, you know that covering the large expanse that is Walt Disney World during a trip is not an easy thing to accomplish. With four Disney parks, water parks, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Sea World, there's a lot Orlando, Florida has to offer to the vacationing family.
I got to check off a destination on my bucket list this fall when my husband and I went to Maine on vacation. We flew in to Portland and rented a car. We stayed at a bed and breakfast in the coastal town of Old Orchard Beach, and walked out to the beach in the evenings. From there, we drove up the coast along the scenic route to Camden, stopping along the way at the L.L. Bean stores and factory outlets.

At least that was how my husband responded when I told him I’d like to visit the local library on the Saturday before Memorial Day. Normally, I would not make such a request, since we are usually busy with other vacation activities. But this was the third time we had visited Gunnison, CO over the past few years. This town of almost 5,900 has continued to intrigue me with what it has to offer. So a visit to the Gunnison County Public Library was a natural next step to understanding this unique mountain community in central Colorado.
