Just as our customers use the foliage and vegetation as a barometer to the seasons, we gauge the seasons thru library activities. Fall means getting ready to promote our resources that would be useful to the students and getting into the routine of storytime. Winter is marked by craft programs and Read Aloud Family Time (RAFT). The highlight of spring is income tax forms. Summer inspires great creativity among the staff and preparations begin months in advance for this season.
Children and parents are making a splash at the new and improved children’s area of the Raytown Branch. With our enhancement, summer readers are finding it easier to find that perfect book to cool off with. Dive into the new children’s area now on the main floor. It is now more open and easily accessible.
