Inspirational or religious fiction seems to have been increasing in popularity for the last several years. Characters in these books often go through a difficult time in their lives, or deal with a change of some kind. They are brought through the hardship and learn life lessons by help and support through friends, family, and a higher power.
To encourage public awareness, the Excelsior Springs Branch will be displaying books on Ramadan during the 2nd week of August. Ramadan starts on Wednesday, August 11 and continues through September 9.
Out of all the subjects we have in the non-fiction section of our MCPL libraries, there is one I would like to mention. It is the religious section in the 200s.
