But, maybe you’re striving for p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n and in constant search of that one ingredient, technique, or flavoring that will get you noticed by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. We have a wonderful and diverse selection of topics to choose from. Something for everyone! You can read about world events, travel, science, and fashion. You can also learn new crafts, like scrapbooking and beading, as well as find some great recipes to try at home. If you love the great outdoors, stop in and check out our camping, hunting, fishing, and gardening magazines. And yes, you can literally check most of them out.
So you may have already read them. You may have already read them forty-times-each-and-love-every-second-of-every-one-because-its-the-best-series-ever. Or you may not have picked one up yet for one reason or another… but just in case, today we’re listing out the series (drum roll, please….).
All of the titles below are historical fiction and yes with some elements of romance. I enjoy anything written by the last three authors and Ellen Jones.
I posed this question to the staff at the Grandview Branch recently. "What book do you go back and read again and again and why do you like it? " Our staff is split about 50/50 between those of us who re-read books and those of us who do not. I was actually a little surprised how many of us do read books more than once. Not surprisingly, our answers were as varied as our staff.
What are you doing at the library today? Working! I am putting books on hold to fill Teacher Assistant requests. We can help teachers supplement their classroom books with items from our library system.
How long have you worked at the library? I have worked here 5 ½ years. I started as a sub and now am working half-time.
What is the best part of your job? Working with the customers and the staff.
