Working at the library has opened my eyes to so many things. Who knew they had so many movies and CD's? I've found so many movies here that are practically new...no need for Redbox or Blockbuster anymore! Many people think the library isn't meant for teenagers, they need to rethink! FREE internet access, FREE movies, FREE CD's....Its practically MADE for teenagers! I encourage all young adults to come check it out!
It was an intervention - my husband came home yet, again with another DVD purchased at a local store. His habit was getting so bad that he could no longer remember which DVDs he had purchased, and he was becoming a repeat offender. "Stop!" I yelled, "I can get recently released DVD's from the library and it's free!" At first he did not believe me, but now each day when I arrive home, he asks if there are any DVDs in my book bag.
Relax! Enjoy free movies and popcorn at home! Who has free movies, you ask? You might be amazed at the selection of videos and DVDs that are available at your local MCPL.
Two of my favorite contemporary leading men will be turning 50 this year, and I can't believe they'll be eligible to join the proud membership of AARP! It just doesn't seem possible.
The two men I'm talking about are Hugh Grant and Colin Firth. Mr. Grant's birthday is September 9th, and Mr. Firth's birthday in September 10th.

Who remembers those wonderful old musicals featuring such great talents as Carmen Miranda, Alice Faye, Betty Grable, and a host of other singers and dancers who mesmerized audiences with their lavish costumes, dazzling vocals, phantasmagoric sets, and make-you-get-off-the-sofa and dance (!!!) choreography?
The cast of the unforgettable 80's movie The Breakfast Club reunited at Lincoln Center in New York City Monday night to remember the late director John Hughes.
Celebrate John Hughes and find out if you are a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, a criminal, or all of the above by checking out a few of his best films.
