Do you ever get up in the morning and find yourself wondering what on earth you are going to wear? This is a daily problem for me. And today, it was compounded by the fact that almost all my clothes are dirty, and there’s snow on the ground. So, I ended up wearing a summer dress (weird), a sweater (warm), and a pair of blue and lime green velour Chucks (fabulous) rather than regular dress shoes.
The Bookies from the Blue Springs North Branch felt like professional judges as they were fully entertained by the students from Sunny Vale Middle School. The Bookies judged the SVMS first annual "BookWalk" contest at Barnes and Noble.

Each year, we pull out our favorite six-foot-tall handmade and hand-painted wooden library decoration. Then, we prop him up behind the circulation desk for all to see and enjoy during the holiday season.
