I was browsing through a calendar of events book and stumbled upon February 13th. The event listed for this date is called "Madly in Love With Me Day." The theory behind the day is that you have to love "me" before you can love "we."
Recently, we celebrated Valentine's Day. Have you ever wanted to create your own holiday—a day special to you even if to no one else? If so, then March 26 (Make Up Your Own Holiday Day) is YOUR day!
This holiday is one of about 80 created by Thomas and Ruth Roy who operate www.wellcat/holiday.com. Their mission? As they put it, "To create zany holidays that inspire folks to celebrate life and its many quirky moments."
Spring is finally here, and one thing that truly signals the start of spring for me is seeing families fly kites in the park near my home. I love watching kites, especially sport kites, but I have to admit I'm terrible at it. The last time I tried to fly one, I managed a direct hit on top of my head.
