Have a Hoppin' Good Time at Edgerton's 12th Annual Frog Jumping Contest!
Every summer, we kick off our Summer Reading Program with a Frog Jumping Contest. This year marks our 12th year of the froggy fun!
This year, our contest will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 10 a.m. We will have lots of fun and froggy-themed games, like the Bullfrog Long Jump, Froggy Kissing Booth, and the Tadpole Toss. Our main event will be the Frog Jumping Contest. Every participant will need to bring their own frog for this event.
Do you ever wonder what goes on in a little boy’s head? Could he be thinking; "They make a nice hat", "Will they scare the girls away?" Or, "maybe, just maybe, they will be my best friends for life".
The Frogs are coming! Edgerton’s 13th Annual Frog Jumping Contest will be held Wednesday, June 20th beginning at 10 a.m. with registration for the Frog Jumping Contest.
This event is B.Y.O.F (Bring Your Own Frog)! Bring a frog to enter in the jumping contest. Frogs will be judged on looks, color, personality, size, character, and other wonderful froggy traits.
What do you do when you have two little green mouths to feed and nothing to feed them? You start raising your own crickets! Well, that’s what you do if the little green mouths belong to tree frogs, you can’t find any food small enough to feed them, and you are just crazy enough to try to grow your own food for them.
I’ve been hosting our Saturday science program for several years. I learn something fascinating at each program. On February 9, the Kansas City Zoo presented Amazing Amphibians, and another great time was had by all.
