I Zumba. This is a high energy, fast paced, dance inspired work out that is sweeping the nation. I started on a whim and have actually fallen in love this crazy and wiggly way to work out.
We all know that a good exercise program has many benefits, but you have to put in the time. The Center for Disease Control recommends 150 minutes of aerobic activity a week. That is about as long as it takes to sit and watch one movie. Could you give up a weekly movie if you gained the following benefits?
Beach-Ready and Beyond (More Good Things to Say About Jillian Michaels)
As summer continues, there are a few things I am certain of: high temperatures, taking trips to the local ice cream shop, roadtrips throughout the country, and relaxing by the pool or, if you’re lucky, at the beach. But for me, it’s a perfect time to get back in shape – namely because I have my 10 year high school reunion at the end of the month.

(Please remember: I’m not trying to hand out medical advice or suggestions here, so please consult your doctor before you begin any exercise program.)
Do you have a New Year’s goal to get fit and lose weight? Or, like me, is it more like a fleeting notion that quickly gets tossed aside by MORE IMPORTANT THINGS? That’s how it’s been with me until yesterday, when I actually wrenched my back by side-tossing laundry into a basket. I mean, how much more incentive do I need?
We have all decided at some time or another to make that resolution to get fit. Last year was my year. I knew it was time to "get with the program" and start exercising. I could not afford a gym membership nor did I have the extra hours in the day to drive back and forth to the local gym. What was I to do?
Hello again, readers. In this month’s blog, I’m revisiting January’s workout theme (but with a slightly different twist) by reviewing a (very) few of my favorite dance workouts. Here’s an abbreviated list.
