Well actually, he came to the Buckner Branch with his lovely wife – Mrs. Claus. They told stories, and the kids all had an opportunity to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. It occurred to me that sometimes we get so caught up in the newest must-have item or sophisticated holiday celebrations that we forget the simple pleasure and anticipation of a visit with Santa.

Last year, over 100 works of art were submitted to our Young Artist Exhibition. This year, we are hoping for even more!

We're winding down Oak Grove storytimes for the summer. Our last ones are May 22nd and May 23rd. Storytime will resume September 4th. While we won't have storytime during the summer, there is still plenty of fun to be had. Our Summer Reading Program begins May 21st and will continue until July 31st. During this time, we have scheduled many fun programs and activities. Go to our Events Page to take a look and register for programs.
Think the Summer Reading Program is just about Reading? Think again. There are all sorts of ways for kids to enjoy themselves while participating this summer. And what better way to start things off than with a party?
What’s that? Party at the Library? Yes, you read that right. There are times when it’s okay to make noise at the library. Our summer reading kickoff parties feature treats, games, and more! Follow the links below to learn more:
Warm weather is finally here--Yay! It’s the perfect time for vacations, road trips, and finding your ancestors. As every genealogist discovers at some point, travel is sometimes necessary to help with your research. Some records or artifacts can only be viewed in person, and that means travel. Regardless of the distance, genealogy trips are a great way to get out there. Maybe you will get an opportunity to travel to another country or just the next state over to find the missing link for your ancestor.
