The Dome Theater

The Blue Springs North Branch is excited about hosting the Dome Theater on Monday, July 12 and Saturday, July 17th. The Dome Theater shows museum quality films on a variety of topics. Some of the films to be shown at the Blue Springs North Branch include the Dinosaur Prophecy, the Titanic, the Dead Sea and Pink Floyd's The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon. Most shows start on the half hour running from 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. on Monday and 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Who Wants to Hear a Story?

Unless you are a young child or the parent of young child, you probably haven’t heard of Miss Bobbi, Miss Jolene, or Miss Sarah. At the Blue Springs North branch, these women lead story time. They are the readers that do all the voices, the wigglers extraordinaire (yes, that’s dancing folks), and the givers of hugs.  Miss Bobbi is the senior member of othe crew with Miss Jolene and the newest member Miss Sarah. With years of experience having children, babysitting, and reading behind them, we create a world full of words, images, music, and fun.

Are You Mad...About Butterflies?

Mad Science is making an appearance at the MCPL Weston Branch on Tuesday, July 20 at 10:00am. Discover how butterflies begin life as caterpillars, how butterflies eat, and many other fun and fascinating butterfly facts. After the program, visit Weston’s own butterfly garden. Located north of the West Platte School Track, the garden was created by the 2nd graders at West Platte Elementary school.

Meet a live opossum and learn how he and his friends survives in your neighborhood at Opossum, Missouri’s Marsupial Thursday, July 8 at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. at the Mid-Continent Public Library Kearney Branch.
