Engine Repair Troubles? Let the Library Help.

My daughter’s car broke down this week. This made me realize that, like my husband, there are quite a few do-it yourself car repair people out there. I see either you or your significant others coming in to find just the right auto repair manual needed for your particular situation.

Global Road Warrior

The Ultimate Guide to the World

MCPL's Research Databases are awesome! In addition to helping with "need to know" information, these sites offer interesting and fun information. One of my favorite sites is Global Road Warrior. Besides the information you would expect, like geography, government, economy, and climate, I can find out about their culture, holidays, and religion.

Literacy Builders for Kids

If you have little ones learning to read, check out two of our awesome databases! They are BookFlix and TumbleBook Library. Both are packed with great stuff for kids pre-K to 3rd grade.

Bookflix teaches early reading skills by pairing a fiction and a non-fiction title that can be read online with or without "read-along" audio. It also includes some lesson plans for parents and teachers.
