It’s that time of year again—fall is all around us with crisp, fresh air, rainbow trees, and little goblins looking for places to gather treats. As always, MCPL and the City of Blue Springs have some fun activities to offer.
You may be asking yourself about Meow Society. Is it for cats only? Do you learn strange new purring sounds? Do you learn how to get along with kittens? Well, it’s none of those things! Meow Society is a fun, growing group of kids who are sharing their writing here at the Red Bridge Branch.
The Red Bridge Branch will be hosting a special program, Magic Peanuts: Exploring George Washington Carver, on Monday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. George Washington Carver grew up in Missouri. He was one of the most prominent scientists and inventors of his time. He also was a teacher at the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. He used the peanut to design such products as dyes, plastics, and gasoline.
