Have a Howling Good Time At the Red Bridge Branch!
Looking for something to do the day before Halloween? Come on by the Red Bridge Branch for our annual Halloween Party! Put on your costume, and spend a hour of fun with Miss Susan! There will be games, treats, and fun times for everyone!
The party starts at two and lasts until three. Still plenty of time afterward to pick up a few books to read on Sunday while you’re waiting for the trick-or-treating to start!
The storytime children at the Dearborn branch went "trick-or-treating" to several prearranged nearby locations Tuesday. This is a tradition of several years here. The parents enjoy the event and have a great opportunity to get pictures. The local businesses they visit enjoy seeing the children, and it is a social occasion for kids and parents alike.
It doesn’t get much better than storytime! This week has been extra spooktacular with the annual celebration of Halloween and trick-or-treating at the library. Check out our visitors!
Storytime Trick-or-Treaters Take Edgerton By Storm!
Our Annual Trick-or-Treat Costume Party on Wednesday, October 27th was a big success! We had lots of little trick-or-treaters show up ready for fun (and candy!) in their costumes.
We had superheroes in our presence. Batman (Will Baker) and Superman (Owen Baker) both listened to Halloween books, watched a short Halloween video, and participated in a Halloween craft. While no one was looking, Batman carefully pieced together a puzzle. A little ladybug (Chloe McClintock) also flittered through the library for storytime. We host a preschool storytime on Wednesdays at 10am. Superheroes, princesses, and their sidekicks (moms) are always welcome!
Some great characters attended Dino O’Dell’s "Not So Scary Halloween" program at Blue Springs South. Dino made sure to include plenty of dancing and singing into the hour!
Come joinMrs.Turkey for a Thanksgiving celebration turkey-style on November 23, 2010 at 10:00 am at Blue Springs North. Singing, stories, and loads of fun for everyone!
Let's Chat n Chew about the ever so popular Wimpy Kid on Wednesday, January 5th from 7 to 8 pm!
