It's time to make candy! We had a great group of teens in our library recently who turned out to be great candy makers, and they made lots and lots of candy. It's really as simple as melting some almond bark and chocolate, and start dipping. So, get a candy making book at your library, and make some candy with friends and family this holiday season.
Arguably, the best thing about the holidays is the food, especially the candy. Store bought candy is great, but if you love to cook why not try making your own this year? The library has several books to help you awaken your inner candy maker, such as:
June is national candy month. What better way to welcome summer than with sweets. One of my personal favorites is homemade cherry cordials. Nut clusters are also good.
Sure, you can buy your favorite confections. But why not try making your own? You can make healthier versions of candy you like. The Library has a lot of books to help you put your candy making skills to the test.
