No one wants to hear…"You have cancer". The day you are told that you have cancer can change your life. You will learn to fight, you will learn you are never alone, and you will learn that there is always HOPE.
Facebook has a lot of faults, I will admit, but the one thing I love is keeping in touch with friends and family that live far away. I have two cousins who are currently undergoing chemo for ovarian cancer. I have had two cousins who went through surgery and chemo for breast cancer. It was nice being able to keep up with them, how they were feeling, and how they were responding to treatment.
Cancer.....We Can SPREAD A LITTLE JOY (Foundation)
I am not sure if it is because I am older or if the disease is becoming more prevalent, but I know a lot of people right now either fighting cancer or that have family or friends fighting it. I recently learned that we have our own form of Dream Factory here in Smithville. I was made aware of an organization/foundation here in Smithville, both named and established to "spread a little joy" to adults with terminal cancer.
