The Grain Valley Branch is offering a class for beginners on February 1st at 11:00 a.m. Crochet is a hobby that does not take a lot of money to start, just a hook and some yarn.
Come and get some personal one-on-one instruction and learn a new skill.

One day last week, my mother got a surprise in the mail. She received a large envelope of pictures from one of her cousins who lives in Springfield that we had not heard from in years.
Many of these pictures once belonged to my great-grandmother and featured my grandparents, my mother, and her sister as children. My mother loved going through all the pictures – so many memories. But most of all, she was thrilled to hear from her cousin. Sharing family photos and stories is a great way to reconnect with family that you don’t see often.
Believe it or not, MCPL is a great place to go for information about the Kansas City metro area. If you are interested in becoming acquainted with some of our local venues, we have several ways to provide access to the communities you are curious about.
