Specially Made Brick Donations for Woodneath Library
As many of you already know, the new Woodneath Library Center will be opening soon on June 22nd. This library will be truly unique with one of the special enhancements being a Children’s Patio. This patio will be an outdoor extension of the Children’s Storytime Barn that is being created and will overlook a beautiful tree-lined creek. What makes this patio so special is that the bricks will be engraved with names or drawings by supporters like you!
As the grand opening of the Woodneath Library Center approaches, the increased interest in the mansion might pique ones curiosity about other Clay County landmarks and history. The Clay County Archives is a great resource for historic buildings, events, as well as genealogy. A non-profit corporation organized as a depository and research center for original Clay County Records, the Archives is located one block east of the square in Liberty at 210 East Franklin in the Frank Hughes Memorial Library building.
Our newest library is complete, and we welcome you to come enjoy a day of ideas and ice cream as we explore all the features of the new building. On Saturday, June 22, MCPL will open the doors to the Woodneath Library Center, located in the Shoal Creek area of Kansas City, Missouri. The grand opening will take place at 8900 NE Flintlock Road with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m.
