Our Reading Aloud Family Time (RAFT) has officially come to an end, and our raffle drawing has taken place. I want to congratulate the Patel Family for winning Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on DVD! They worked hard reading chapter books as a family and got to reap the benefits. We also had a second drawing this year for the game Candy Land, which went to the Zellar family. Congratulations! Thanks to all of the families that participated in the Reading Aloud Family Time 2012! We’ll see you around the corner for Summer Reading Program!
Announcing the Excelsior Springs Branch RAFT Winners!
Congratulations to our Grand Prize RAFT winner at the Excelsior Springs branch, the Turner Family!
They won a copy of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie on DVD by participating in our Reading Aloud Family Time (RAFT) program. We'd also like to congratulate our first runner-up, the Hatch family, and our second runner-up, the Thomas family. Both received other delicious prizes.
The Reading Aloud Family Time program at the Liberty Branch was a great success as almost 300 families participated this year. Every family that read two chapter books earned a hardback copy of the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.
The 2012 Reading Aloud Family Time (RAFT) program came to a close on March 3. The Blue Springs North Branch had a fabulous turnout this year with more than 180 families participating in the program. Every family that read two chapter books out loud together received a copy of the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The grand prize drawing was for the Charlie and Chocolate Factory DVD. Congratulations to the Uluave family for being the grand prize winners!
The second place prize went to the Cruz family who won the DVD version of the movie Babe. Woohoo!
