I am obsessed with the British royal family, so this week has been a week I have been looking forward to for a very long time. All I have to say is, "Geez, Prince William, it sure took you long enough!" Back in November when Prince William and Kate Middleton (finally) announced their engagement, I was positively thrilled. Look at him! Look at her! Look at that RING! I’ve been watching all the specials on television about the royal family, reading up on their family history (again), and counting down to the big day—Friday, April 29, 2011. Kate Middleton is living a real, live fairy tale.
This morning (at about 5am here in Kansas City) was the wedding of Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton, a very proper affair that took place at Westminster Abbey.
For scores of Kansas City residents such as myself, there was no other place to watch this royal event but at the watch party down at our Union Station. Apparently, around a thousand showed up, donning tiaras and fabulous hats to watch it on a movie-sized screen in one of the foyers.
William and Kate—the favorite royal couple—have been married for almost 6 months now. I doubt they will celebrate the occasion, but if they did, I've discovered an interesting gift idea. Ready for this? Action figures!
