The Top 3 ½ Reasons that my Hometown is Better than Yours
Let’s be honest folks, Top Ten lists are cliché. I mean, if you can’t support your point in at most 7 examples, then you weren’t really arguing from a point of strength to begin with. After finally graduating college, my friend Jordan and I took a trip to New York City to celebrate. Where would be the first place two librarians would go? The New York City Public Library! This library was absolutely amazing. We even bought matching library shirts.
Besides going to see the library, we went up in the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the 9/11 Memorial. We also took a ferry out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We even took a stroll through Central Park.

I always felt a little cheated that there was not a book already written about my family. Don’t get me wrong, I have loved doing all the research. But when I hit a brick wall, it would be nice to open up a book and find all the answers inside. One day I found a book right here in the library that had some of the answers that I had been looking for.
