It's been 35 years since Elvis Presley died. I remember hearing about it on the way back from our vacation in 1977. I will never forget the date. Elvis was such a charismatic persona and entertainer. I still love to listen to his songs and hear impersonators try to sound like him. We heard a good one in Nashville while we were there on vacation.
On September 8th, I attended Edgerton Pioneers Day, an annual festival the takes place each fall in Edgerton, Missouri. One of the events that I attended was the Elvis impersonation. Bobby Simkins, the Elvis impersonator, did a great job keeping the crowd entertained.
