What a great find! I picked this movie to watch because it starred Robert Redford. What a hunk! I wasn’t optimistic that this would be a movie I could watch all the way through. Boy, was I wrong. Tennessee Williams is an awesome storyteller, and with a dynamic duo like Robert Redford and Natalie Wood, this is a must see movie. It was also great to see Charles Bronson and William Blake in their younger days. I was hoping for a happy ending, but alas, it was not to be.
There are many things that transcend the age-level they are geared for. Books written for teens and children frequently find themselves popular amongst adults for their amazing worlds and well-written stories. So, I hope that I can convince people of all ages to give this amazing animated show a try.
One of my goals this year is to simplify my life, and one way to simplify is to reduce discretionary spending. Subscribing to Netflix falls in this category. Once I discontinued my subscription, I thought I wouldn’t be able to see recently released DVDs. Thanks to MCPL, that’s not the case.
Most newly released DVDs I want to watch are in the Library system. There are some caveats: I usually have to place the item on hold and the wait time might be a little while. Also, new DVDs usually must be returned within 7 days. I can live with that.
We recently switched cable providers at home, and we decided to save a little by not getting receivers for each room. I decided to start watching videos instead of live TV while I worked out in the basement, since there’s not a receiver down there now. I thought, maybe, it would be fun to watch some of my old favorite TV shows, and I was delighted to find that the Library carried almost all of them.
