Alright, it's time for a confession - I adore Kenny Rogers. I have been crazy about him since I was in elementary school and he was on country radio, singing with Dolly. I will even admit that at one time I knew every word of "Islands in the Stream." I was in the third grade, and my friend and I spent more than one afternoon on the playground singing our hearts out.
I'll admit it; I'm a bit of a culture nut. I love learning about cultures around the world, eating food, and listening to music from other countries. Even my iPod is loaded with everything from a Lithuanian Ska/Funk group, to a Turkish alternative metal band, to a Swedish pop singer; all of which I love listening to even if only half their songs are in English.

Listed below are the top ten ways I saved money by using the library.

Look no further than the infectious, turn-the-bass-to-eleven groove of the Gospel Soul Revivals’ "If Jesus Came Today." Or maybe, you’d prefer attending a Sunday school with a ‘tude?
Music Under Consideration: It's Like American Idol At the Library
One of the many reasons why I really enjoy working at a library is that I keep up on music just by watching what CDs come across the counter. Since a lot of my favorite music doesn’t get much radio airplay, I use the library as my primary source for music. A lot of people come in and browse the CD collection, or go online to the MCPL catalog to search for new music. But, did you know that you can place holds on music CDs before they even hit the library shelves, and that by doing so, you can have a say in determining the content of MCPL’s music collection?
