It's my pleasure and duty to take care of the displays in the MCPL Weston Branch. I am constantly looking for fresh ideas to entice our customers to pick up one or two of these books. Recently, on a quick trip out to California to pick up a car and drive it back, my husband and I decided to drive back the Route 66 way. Honestly, we went the interstates and kept passing all the old Route 66. But it did give me an idea for a display. How about "Get Your Kicks on Route 66"? Low and behold, we had plenty of those books to make a great display.
The Camden Point Branch has a collection of "Book Bundles" that making finding books for your child quick and easy. We have bundled books by subject matter, main character, reading ability, etc. Right now we have bundles of Magic Tree House, Manners, Henry & Mudge, plus several others.

I can’t say that I enjoy gardening or any type of farming, except in the virtual world of Facebook’s Farmville. To be honest, I’ve even lost a few crops on Farmville. My idea of enjoying the summer bounty is going to my neighborhood Farmers’ Market on Saturday morning and selecting the fresh, homegrown fruits, and vegetables that hard-working local farmers offer throughout the growing season.
