Since I have grandchildren, I want everyone to know what a wonderful resource the library is for children. I love checking out books to read to them. There's a great Summer Reading Program every year for them to take advantage of and many programs.
Beyond the Books is the title for the quarterly brochure published to show the classes and programs offered at MCPL. You can find this at the front desk at your local MCPL branch. But get them quick, they go fast. While browsing the magazine, I saw a program listed at a branch other than where I work, and I signed up online. This program was a walking tour of the River Market area of Kansas City. We met at the Steamboat Arabia and walked with a guide through the River Market.
